Meet the Team
Roshanak Mohammad Pour, B.A., M.Psy., RP, is a Registered Psychotherapist in Clinical and Counselling Psychology and the founder of Rose Psychology Services. She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). Her primary client population is adults. She is highly trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused ACT, addition to Acceptance and Commitment (ACT). Moreover, she has worked with various clients using Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Trauma-informed therapy to assist in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Her specialties include treatments for Anxiety, Depression, Grief, and Coping Skills. She is also proficient in dealing with Anger Management, Emotional Disturbance, family conflicts, Relationship Issues, Sleep or Insomnia, different types of Phobias, and PTSD. She is fluent in English and Farsi. She is familiar with the language and culture of Turkish, Urdu, and Arabic.
Roshanak Mohammad Pour completed her bachelor of Psychology at York University, Toronto, Ontario. She graduated with a Master of Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, Ontario. In addition, she persuades many certificates in different psychological modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Adlerian Therapy, and Multy modalities from accredited institutes in Toronto, Ontario. She is easy to speak to and offers a judgment-free zone for her clients to speak freely about anything they wish to without any worries.
Hamid Alizadeh Ph.D., RP (Qualifying) is a professor of psychology, experienced in helping people who need psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment of mental health issues. He has received training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Adlerian Psychology and Counseling. Hamid has been awarded the NASAP Diplomate in Adlerian Psychology. (“The Diplomate in Adlerian Psychology is the highest professional recognition offered by The North American Society of Adlerian Psychology to its members. Elham Aref, B.A., RP is a Registered Psychotherapist and is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Over the past 25 years, Elham has lived in five countries, and as a volunteer, she helped many refugees adjust to their new countries. She has experience working with adults with mental health challenges, including life transition issues, adjustment disorders, cultural assimilation, PTSD, stress management, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, low self-esteem, and trauma.
In her practice, she combines a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Elham offers a trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally competent approach that is adaptable to clients’ personalities and needs.
She offers a client-centered approach and provides clients with a non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate environment while working collaboratively on their therapeutic goals and needs
Pooya Bahmanikia, a distinguished registered psychotherapist, is a beacon of hope for many navigating the complex intricacies of the human psyche. After graduating with the highest distinction with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from York University, he is progressing as a Master of Psychology Candidate at the prestigious Adler Professional Graduate School.
Life, with its intricate blend of pain, anxiety, and uncertainty, often poses challenges. However, Pooya firmly believes that with guided introspection and therapeutic support, one can foster resilience and experience a life of wellness and fulfillment. Drawing from both the science and art of psychology, he offers a safe haven for clients, accompanying them on their path to psychological growth and achievement of life goals.

Davood (David) Mohammadi holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. He is currently a practicum student in the “Bridge to Registration and Employment in Mental Health (BREM)” program which is a CRPO-recognized program for the training and employment of internationally trained mental health professionals. He is doing his practicum under the supervision of Mrs. Roshanak Mohamadpour.
Over the past years, Davood has worked extensively with adults with mental health challenges, including adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, stress management, interpersonal relationship issues, low self-esteem, and sexual problems, amongst others.
In his practice, he is committed to an eclectic approach where he combines a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, strategies, and techniques driven by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Analytical Therapy, and Evolutionary Cognitive Therapy. He offers a trauma-informed, strength-based, resiliency-cared, and culturally competent approach that is adaptable to clients’ personalities and needs.

He is fluent in English and Farsi. He is deeply familiar with the culture of Farsi-speaking countries including Iran and Afghanistan, and also Islamic and Middle Eastern countries. In addition to his clinical background, he has been an effortful researcher during the last decades. Davood is the author of a very well-acclaimed book in the Farsi language titled: “Sexual Psychology; An Evolutionary Perspective on Attractiveness, Sexual Variety Seeking and Unfaithfulness”.
